A knitwear house between design studio and factory floor.
MAGLIERIA MILANO was founded by Zhaocai Fang in Milan to give fashion brands a single partner capable of designing knitwear, engineering it and producing it to Italian standards.
Our story
What began as a small development laboratory in the Tortona district has grown into a complete knitwear operation: a design team, a sampling atelier and an audited network of Italian knitting and finishing facilities.
Our founders come from both sides of the industry — creative direction and industrial knitting engineering. That combination is why our technical packs read as clearly to a designer as they do to a machine programmer.
Today we develop several hundred styles each season for brands ranging from independent labels to established luxury houses, shipping to Europe, the United States, Japan and the Gulf.

Certified yarns, traceable supply partners and minimised waste through made-to-measure knitting.

Yarns selected in Biella, Prato and Como.
Cashmere, extra-fine merino, silk blends, cotton, linen and recycled fibres — sourced from Italian spinners we have worked with for more than a decade. Every yarn is tested for pilling, shrinkage and colour fastness before it enters a collection.
